ABSTRACT: This study Investigated the Effects of Early Childhood Education on Intergenerational Poverty. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the role of early childhood education (ECE) in breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty, (2) assess the impact of ECE programs on children's academic and social outcomes, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of ECE on family economic mobility. A survey design was chosen for this research to collect detailed data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with ECE and its impact on poverty alleviation. A sample size of 170 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected through purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Kwara State, Nigeria, known for its commitment to educational development. Findings indicated that ECE programs significantly improved children's academic and social outcomes, contributing to greater family economic mobility and breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty. It was recommended that early childhood education centers expand access to ECE programs and provide support for families to enhance economic mobility.
